Karan Johar’s upcoming film Dhadak 2 is surrounded by postponement rumors. The renowned filmmaker of Bollywood announced earlier that Dhadak 2, which stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri in the lead roles, will be released in theaters worldwide on November 22, 2024. The small video/teaser of the film’s announcement was also played in the theaters for some days. However, the latest reports suggest that the film’s theatrical release will be delayed.
Reportedly, the Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri starrer will go under reshoots for some crucial portions, and later, when the makers feel that everything is settled, they will announce the release date. Mostly, Dhadak 2 will be out in theaters in early 2025. It is being reported that a few songs and some patchwork will also be done in this gap. Dhadak 2 is an official remake of the Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal. There are also rumors that the failure of Sidhanth’s recent film, Yudhra, also affected the progress of Dhadak 2, as the makers wanted to have a considerable gap after the failure of their lead.
Directed by Shazia Iqbal, Dhadak 2 has been produced jointly by Dharma Productions, ZEE Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures. Shazia and Rahul Badwelkar made some changes to the film’s script, which was originally written by Mari Selvaraj, the director of Pariyerum Perumal.
