Devara’s Ticket Prices: Justified or Overhyped?

Ticket hikes have become a common trend for star hero projects, significantly impacting box office openings and often leading to record-breaking collections. This is mainly due to the maximum number of shows being allocated for these films. Regardless of the actual reception of the film, this strategy plays a crucial role as producers rely on pre-release buzz to recover a substantial portion of their investment during the first weekend.

Currently, Jr NTR’s latest film Devara is following this path. Despite receiving mixed reviews from the audience, Devara continues to perform well with packed shows. However, the true test will come after the weekend, as sustaining the momentum becomes critical.

Now, with regard to ticket prices, the question arises: Is it worth watching on the big screen? While the makers project Devara as a larger-than-life experience, only after watching the film will audiences be able to judge if it lives up to the hype.

Is there anything new in Devara that justifies the ticket price? Some believe the content does not. For years, Telugu commercial films have followed a similar format, and Devara seems to adhere to this, offering little novelty aside from strong technical elements, which may not be enough to make up for its routine plot.
