Devara, the big-budget action drama starring NTR, completed three weeks at the box office. After Aravinda Sametha, which was released in 2018, this is the first solo theatrical release from NTR. RRR (2022) had Ram Charan alongside NTR in it, so the fans of NTR were waiting for an exclusive movie from their favorite hero, and when Devara was released in theaters worldwide on September 27, 2024, they celebrated it like a festival.
Devara collected nearly 375 crore gross at the worldwide box office for three weeks, and the trade experts are looking forward to its third weekend, and if the film performs well on Saturday and Sunday, it can cross the coveted 400 crore club. It will be a huge achievement if Devara crosses that magical mark. Also, there are no new releases this weekend, so it could help Devara register some good footfalls at the theaters.
Devara: Part One was written and directed by Koratala Siva. Though some audiences and reviewers pointed out some flaws in the film, they appreciated the vision of Siva and the way he extracted output from his cast and crew. Anirudh’s music is also one of the biggest plus points for the film, with Chuttamalle and the Fear Song being viral hits before the film’s release and Aayudha Pooja becoming a superb sensational song after the film’s release.
