Devara completed a successful first weekend at the box office. The film also had one of the biggest first weekends for Telugu cinema. The action drama minted around 250 crore gross at the worldwide box office for the 3 days. While the Nizam saw fewer collections compared to Saturday, the Andhra areas performed better than the other day.
As said earlier, the Tamil version of Devara did not have a good opening or any reasonable collections after that, and the Hindi version did decent business, and it looks to continue the momentum. Devara had extraordinary openings overseas, but the numbers saw some decline on the second and third days. Overall, Devara collected 7 million dollars for the first weekend, with the major share of that number coming on the first day and premier shows. Devara is on the way to achieve breakeven overseas.
Coming to the overall business, Devara should collect 400 crore gross at the worldwide box office to be considered a hit, and the film will see a drop in collections after such a massive weekend. It needs to be seen how this action drama performs on October 2nd and the subsequent Dasara holidays. The North Indian market can be very helpful for the film if the collections continue to be decent even after today.
