Dev Patel, who rose to fame with the critically acclaimed Slumdog Millionaire (2008), has ventured into directing with his latest film, Monkey Man. The exhilarating trailer for the movie was unveiled in January and quickly gained immense popularity online. As a result, Monkey Man has become one of the year’s highly anticipated films. Excitingly, there are indications that the film might hit the Indian screens on April 19, a mere week from now.

Monkey Man, a Hollywood movie, has garnered significant attention in India due to its emphasis on Indian tradition and culture. The trailer showcases a plethora of violence, depicting Dev’s character amid a thrilling chase. The cinematography is truly remarkable, capturing every move with a blend of desperation and unique motivations. Monkey Man was made available to the public in the United States on March 11. However, as per Bollywood Media Reports, the producers are now considering April 19 as the intended release date for the film in India. This action-packed thriller also serves as the Hollywood debut for actors Sikander Kher and Sobhita Dhulipala.

The Monkey Man narrates a tale of a recently freed man determined to fight for survival. However, the world beyond the prison walls is in complete disarray. Large corporations have become consumed by greed and lost their benevolence. In contrast, individuals have become indifferent to moral values, pursuing their own interests without regard for what is right or wrong. Fueled by a desire for retribution against those who destroyed his life years ago, this man is seizing every opportunity to unleash his primal and savage instincts. Priyanka Chopra recently admired Dev Patel’s remarkable directorial debut in Monkey Man.
