The highly anticipated Demon Slayer film ‘Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira’ finally has an India release date. Anime distributor Crunchyroll has announced the movie will release in Indian theaters starting February 23.
‘To the Hashira’ will allow fans to revisit the finale of the Swordsmith Village Arc on the big screen, while also offering a sneak peek into the upcoming Hashira Training Arc. This marks the first theatrical release for both story arcs.
The film will release in regular theaters along with IMAX and other premium large formats. Select fans will also get to attend advance screenings in Mumbai on February 21.
‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ is based on the popular manga series by Koyoharu Gotoge. It follows the journey of Tanjiro Kamado seeking to avenge his family’s murder by turning into a demon slayer. The anime adaptation by Ufotable has been a massive global hit.
Indian anime fans have been eagerly waiting for the continued story of Tanjiro and Nezuko to hit theaters. The special ‘To the Hashira’ movie promises high stakes action and emotional storytelling that made the franchise so beloved. Its theatrical release in India is set to be a major anime movie event for 2023.
