The superhero movie Deadpool and Wolverine, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, hit theaters on July 26. Unsurprisingly, the film has been dominating the box office, receiving an exceptional response from viewers. Box office reports indicate that the movie has surpassed Rs. 68 crore in Indian ticket sales within just three days of its release.
Deadpool and Wolverine have exceeded expectations and are dominating the box office. According to industry trackers, the film grossed Rs. 23 crore on its third day, similar to the previous day. The movie debuted with a collection of Rs. 22 crore and then experienced a significant increase of 7.86% on its second day, earning Rs. 23 crore. On Sunday, the film had an overall occupancy rate of 38.92%. Directed by Shawn Levy, the film has now entered the top 10 Hollywood films in India with a successful weekend, joining the ranks of blockbusters such as Avengers: Endgame, Avatar: The Way of Water, Spiderman: No Way Home, Avengers: Infinity War, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. In terms of Bollywood films, it currently holds the second position after Hrithik Roshan-Deepika Padukone’s Fighter for the biggest opening weekend of 2024.
The film’s actual test commences today, marking the first weekday after its release. We will now observe whether Deadpool & Wolverine can pass the Monday test and maintain its success at the box office. The film will face competition on August 2, when two Hindi films, Ajay Devgn and Tabu’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha and Janhvi Kapoor’s Ulajh, are set to be released. In addition to Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, the movie also stars Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Aaron Stanford, and Matthew Macfadyen.
