Young and talented director Lokesh Kanagaraj is working with Superstar Rajinikanth for the first time with Coolie, an action thriller which is also the 171st movie of the legendary star actor. Recently, there were rumors that the film had been shelved midway, but the team was quick enough to thrash all the rumors. On the evening of August 27th, Sun Pictures, the production house behind the film and Lokesh provided an exciting update for the fans.
Releasing an intriguing poster from the film, Lokesh announced that the character announcements of the film will start on August 28th 6 PM. Sun Pictures and Lokesh Kanagaraj ‘s sudden announcement sounded like a sweet surprise for Rajini fans and Tamil Film audiences.
Reportedly, Rajinikanth will play a role with negative shades in the film. Coolie is said to be an out-and-out action film with a gangster backdrop. The film is also reported to have several known actors from South Indian Cinema. As of now, only Sathyaraj has been confirmed to be the part of cast, and the makers will reveal it rest of them from today evening. Anirudh Ravichander is working as the music composer of Coolie. Coolie also marks the reunion of Sathyaraj and Rajinikanth on screen after a 38-year gap.
