Cocaine Bear Review

I recently watched the film “Cocaine Bear” on Netflix. The plot was very interesting, based on true events where a drug peddler loses his composure and throws all the cocaine bags from the top of a plane into a forest, eventually dying in the process.

A bear becomes enraged after getting addicted to the cocaine and starts hunting for the missing bags. If the hunt had been more serious, I would have been more thrilled. However, the filmmakers decided to mix thrills with entertainment, which diluted the intensity of the plot.

Come on now! These plots deserve a serious amount of thrills, and placing humor in the hunt scenes seems misplaced. However, the film gets better as it progresses, and the climax is promising. They say it’s based on true events, and none of the bags have been collected to date, suggesting a potential sequel. Given the film’s success at the box office, a sequel seems likely, but hopefully, they will take a more serious approach.
