Recently, it was announced that Aha has acquired the digital rights of Chandini Chowdary’s Yevam at a lucrative price. Aha has unveiled a stylish new poster for the movie and disclosed that Yevam will be accessible for streaming starting July 25, 2024, at midnight today. Chandini Chowdary portrays a police officer in this movie, directed by Prakash Dantuluri. The film was not promoted effectively, resulting in limited awareness about its release. Navdeep and Pavan Goparaju served as producers for this project with a modest budget. Yevam follows the journey of a young cop, played by Chandini Chowdary, who faces neglect from her seniors. Tasked with capturing a dangerous killer, she must prove herself. The plot revolves around how a rookie cop solves the case. Vasishta Simha portrayed the antagonist and received praise for his performance. Keertana Sesh and Neelesh Mandalapu composed the music for this production.
Unfortunately, many critics panned the film for its uninteresting writing and foolish execution. The main criticism of the film was that Chandini Chowdary was too young to portray an intense police officer convincingly. Despite the film’s promotion as a reintroduction of Chandini Chowdary in a new light, it failed to make a difference. With the film set to stream on Aha soon, seeing the audience’s reaction will be interesting.
