It is widely known that for two years, the trend of re-releasing the old super hit films of Star Heroes gained the strength in Telugu film industry. However, because of too many re-releases, audiences lost interest in watching them. But the recent re-release of Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Murari saw exceptional response, and the latest re-release of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Indra is also repeating the same. Indra created a record for overseas collections of re-released films.
On August 22, the all-time blockbuster Indra was released in theaters on the occasion of Chiranjeevi’s birthday. The fans of megastar celebrated the re-release with great enthusiasm, and the social media was full of the videos in which fans celebrated Indra film by dancing to the songs and reiterating the dialogues in theaters. Indra raised 3.05 Crores Gross worldwide on day 1. Afterward, the shows for the film were lessened in Telugu states.
Though the collections of Indra did not cross Murari, it created a record in senior heroes films. Murari Re-Release collected 60K$ at the US. However, Indra broke this record with day 1 Numbers as it gathered 62K$. The overall overseas Gross of Indra is over 75K$.
