Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha and Ulajh had a disastrous first week at the box office. It is widely known that on August 2nd, Ajay Devgn and Tabu’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha and Janhvi Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah’s Ulajh were released in theaters worldwide.
While looking at the promotional material of both the films, the trade circles and audiences did not expect much dhamaka at the box office, but AMKDT and Uljah failed to collect even ordinary numbers at the box office. The industry circles were in for a shock when both the films opened with 2.6 Cr and 1 Cr on their day 1. Coming to the day 14, Ajay and Tabu’s film gathered 65 Lakhs while Ulajh managed to collect 45 lakhs. For 14 Days, AMKDT gathered nearly 14 Crores Net in India while Ulajh collected 9.5 Crore Net.
Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha received mixed reviews while the performances of Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shantanu Maheshwari, Saiee Manjrekar, and Jimmy Shergill were appreciated by the critics along with the music of MM Keeravani (Called as MM Kreem in Bollywood). Janhvi’s Ulajh was also slammed by critics and the film had a very few takers who talked positively about it.
