The advance bookings for the most-awaited film of 2024 so far, Stree 2, opened on August 9th morning, and the film took a splendid start in the pre-sales. By the nighttime, Stree 2 has registered over 32000 ticket sales in National Multiplex Chains. Interestingly, these are the figures for August 15, and they do not include pre-sales for the paid previews on August 14 yet. The bookings for the August 14th Paid Premieres opened yesterday evening, and they are also very good.
Stree 2 is expected to get the biggest opening for Bollywood in 2024. If the film continues the same flow going forward, the total of ticket sales is expected to be around 2 lakh tickets in the top 3 national chains alone for Independence Day, in addition to another 50,000 tickets for the paid previews.
Backed by Producer Dinesh Vijan, this horror comedy has certainly brought smiles on the faces of exhibitors, as the opening day is sure to get an excellent number. Initially, the trade experts anticipated an opening of Rs 25 crore for Stree 2, but now looking at the pre-sales, it is well on course to cross the Rs 30 crore mark, and it even moves further towards the Rs 35 crore mark. The trailer has worked very well for Stree 2, creating the required anticipation among audiences, which escalated further with superhit songs. So it is certain that Stree 2 will gather superb numbers at the box office in its initial weekend, and if the talk comes positive, then the film will easily enter the 200 Cr Club.
