Apoorv Singh Karki’s film Bhaiyya Ji marked Manoj Bajpayee’s 100th film. The actor, who started his acting career in 1994, performed action scenes on his own in the movie. Bhaiyya Ji hit theaters on May 24, 2024. Nearly eight weeks later, the producers revealed that it would be available on ZEE5 starting July 26, 2024. Prior to the OTT release, a fresh poster of the film was unveiled on the internet.
ZEE5 unveiled a captivating Manoj Bhaiyya Ji poster on Instagram. The poster features a powerful dialogue from the movie “Ab nivedan nahi, narsanhaar hoga.” which means, “Now it will not be a request, it will be destruction.” Manoj’s second project with director Apoorv Singh Karki was Bhaiyya Ji, following their successful collaboration in the 2023 film Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai. In this movie, Manoj portrayed the protagonist, Ram Charan Tripathi, who sets out on a quest for justice following his brother’s tragic demise. The plot centers around Bajpayee’s character, a retired but notorious criminal seeking retribution.
During the film’s promotion, Manoj Bajpayee explained to the media why a body double was not utilized for his action scenes in Bhaiyya Ji. He mentioned that although he could have used a body double for 50-60 percent of the action sequences, the action director was insistent on showcasing a different side of Manoj Bajpayee to the audience. In addition to Manoj, Bhaiyya Ji starred Zoya Hussain, Suvinder Vicky, and Jatin Goswami in important roles. The film, produced by Bhanushali Studios Limited and SSO Productions, is set to be released on OTT platforms in five days.
