Bade Miyan Chote Miyan sees a massive drop on Day 2

The highly anticipated Bollywood Action Entertainer, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, garnered a disappointing 15 crores net on its opening day at the Indian box office, which is considered a poor result. Adding to the disappointment is that the actual collections amount to only 12 crores, as it is alleged that the producers injected three crores through corporate bookings. This underwhelming performance during the Eid season, known as one of the biggest holidays for Bollywood releases, has sent shock waves throughout the industry. Unfortunately, the film’s performance on Day 2 has shown a significant drop, further adding to the disappointment.

The audience turnout remains lackluster, painting a grim picture for this highly anticipated movie of 2024, which boasts a hefty budget of 350 crores and a star-studded cast. Recent updates reveal a gloomy scenario, as occupancy levels have drastically fallen to a surprising 10-11%, a sharp comparison to the 33-35% seen initially. Most films do not see a major decline post-Basi Eid, but BMCM has suffered a severe setback, showing a considerable drop from the already low numbers of Day 1. The occupancy has plunged by 60% since its opening day. This significant decrease indicates a negative pattern, suggesting that the film may struggle to achieve even single-digit earnings on Friday.

The 4-day weekend is on track to achieve a net collection of 50 crore from India. The overseas figures are disappointingly low as well. Given these lackluster numbers, it appears doubtful that the movie will surpass the 100 crore mark in net earnings from India throughout its run, solidifying its status as a massive failure.
