Following a successful opening weekend at the box office, the film Bad Newz, starring Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk, experienced a significant decrease in earnings. On Monday, the film only managed to earn ₹3.5 crore. However, after the producers announced a Buy 1 Get 1 offer on movie tickets, there was a slight increase in earnings on Tuesday.
Anand Tiwari directed the film, which continued to perform well on the fifth day, earning nearly ₹4 crore. With the five-day collection, the total business in India is ₹38.5 crore, according to trade analysts. It appears that the collection received a boost due to a special offer. Urban areas are still doing well for the film, but the business in Mumbai is suffering due to continuous heavy rain. Bad Newz had an overall 13.77% Hindi occupancy on Tuesday, with the highest occupancy reported in Jaipur at 20.25%.
The comedy-drama is based on actual events. It explores heteropaternal superfecundation, a reproductive process where twins have different biological fathers but share the same mother. Produced by Dharma Productions and Leo Media Collective, the movie includes Neha Dhupia in a prominent role. It is a spiritual successor to Good Newwz (2019), featuring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh.
