TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu had come of the Rajamahendravaram central jail on Tuesday evening. The party leaders gave him a great reception all along the route from Rajamahendravaram to his Undavalli house.
It took 13 hours for Chandrababu Naidu to reach his home as the leaders stopped his convoy in every town along the route. He was welcomed by his wife Bhuvaneswari at the house with traditional harati.
As Naidu settled down at home, his son Nara Lokesh went to Delhi to meet the advocates of the Supreme Court. He is scheduled to hold consultations with the senior advocates, Harish Salve, Siddhartha Luthra and Sanjay Kumar.
The cases of quash petition and bail petitions are pending in the Supreme Court. The court had posted these cases to November 8 and 9 respectively. Lokesh wants the interim bail given to his father to be continued as permanent bail.
Meanwhile, the state government had filed yet another case of liquor scam on Chandrababu Naidu. However, the APCID’s advocate and additional advocate general Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy had told the AP high court that they would not arrest Chandrababu Naidu in any case before his interim bail period ends.
The additional advocate general told the court that Naidu was on bail on health grounds and the government would allow him to undergo treatment as required. He said that the government would wait for Chandrababu Naidu to complete his medical tests and report back to the superintendent at Rajamahendravaram central jail.
