Aranmanai 4: Sundar C’s Horror Comedy getting trolls for a scene

Aranmanai 4, the Tamil film of 2024, features Sundar C in the leading role, who also happens to be the film’s director. The film has recently made its debut on a streaming platform. It can now be accessed on Disney+ Hotstar. Despite its success at the box office, the film has faced criticism on social media for its unintentionally funny scenes. An emotional scene involving Tamannaah and the kids in the flashback episode is getting trolls from a section of netizens.

Aranmanai 4, the fourth installment of Sundar C’s horror comedy franchise, may be unfamiliar to some. Released on May 3, the recent installment received a mix of positive and negative reviews. Despite this, the film achieved box office success during a relatively lackluster period in Tamil Nadu’s 2024 cinema landscape. Following its theatrical run, Aranmanai 4 made its streaming debut on Disney+ Hotstar. The film is now available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. However, a specific group of netizens has taken to trolling the film, explicitly targeting a scene involving actor Tamannaah Bhatia, who plays a crucial role in Aranmanai 4. Tamannaah tries to mislead her kids in an emotional scene and acts as if she is having fun. However, the scene’s situation and the actress’s funny antics did not go well with a section of social media users, and they went on to make many trolls on that scene.

In the film, Sundar C plays the role of a Chennai-based lawyer and discovers distressing news about his sister and her family. In order to investigate, he travels to their village and discovers the presence of a malevolent spirit named Baak, known for its cannibalistic tendencies. Aranmanai 4 is a part of Sundar C’s film franchise, sharing the same name. Each installment can be enjoyed as a standalone movie featuring a unique plot and cast. Alongside Sundar C, the film stars Tamannaah, Raashii Khanna, Santhosh Pratap, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Delhi Ganesh, Kovai Sarala, and others. Additionally, actors Simran and Khushbu make a cameo appearance in a song for the film. The talented technical crew includes Hiphop Tamizha as the music composer, cinematographer E Krishnasamy (aka Kicha), and editor Fenny Oliver.
