AP HC judge recuses from Naidu’s case

A judge of the Andhra Pradesh high court on Friday recused herself from hearing the case of TDP chief and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Judge, Justice Venkata Jyothirmayi, said that she is not ready to hear the case.

The case was then referred to the Chief Justice for further action. It is to be seen where the chief justice would post the case or take any action on it.

The advocates representing Chandrababu Naidu have filed the house motion seeking immediate hearing of the case of bail petitions. However, the high court on Thursday dismissed the petition and posted the case to the vacation bench for further hearing.

When the case came up for hearing, Justice Jyothirmayi said that she is not interested in hearing the case and referred it back to the chief justice.

Meanwhile, the ACB court in Vijayawada posted the judgment on the CID official call data case to October 31. The judge completed the hearing on the petitions seeking the call data of the CID officials when they arrested Chandrababu Naidu on September 9 at Nandyal.

The advocates said that the CID officials were under pressure and were constantly over the phone talking to some people. The advocates said that the ruling party leaders were on the other side of the phone giving directions to the CID officials on the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu.

After hearing the case from both sides, the ACB court judge posted the judgment to October 31.
