ANR’s 100th: Free Entry to Classic Film Screenings

On the occasion of Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s 100th birth anniversary, the Akkineni family is providing a treat to fans and moviegoers by re-releasing 10 of the legendary actor’s classic evergreen films, with special shows planned between September 20th to 22nd.

From Devadasu (1953) to his last film Manam (2014), which served as a tribute to ANR, the lineup also includes Missamma (1955), Maayabazar (1957), Bharyabharthalu (1961), Gundamma Katha (1962), Doctor Chakravarthi (1964), Sudigundalu (1968), Prema Nagar (1971), and Premabhishekam (1981). All these classics are hitting the screens to celebrate ANR’s 100th birth anniversary.

Akkineni family members will be attending some of the screenings held at multiplexes in Hyderabad. Moreover, as an additional treat for fans, free tickets for these classics will be sponsored on a first-come, first-served basis at select theatres.
