Andhagan, the forthcoming Tamil movie featuring actor Prashanth in the leading role, was initially planned to premiere in cinemas on August 15 to take advantage of the extended Independence Day weekend. However, the producers revealed on Wednesday that the film’s release has been delayed by a week. Andhagan will now be released in theatres on August 9.
Prashanth, a prominent actor from the 90s and 2000s, takes the lead role in the highly anticipated movie Andhagan. This film is a Tamil remake of the successful Hindi movie Andhadhun, which garnered praise upon its release in 2018. After a gap of six years, fans can look forward to seeing Prashanth portray the main character in this adaptation. In Andhagan, Prashanth portrays a blind pianist who wants to travel to London. In addition to Prashanth, the movie features Simran, Priya Anand, Karthik Muthuraman, Samuthirakani, Yogi Babu, Urvasi, K.S. Ravikumar, and Vanitha Vijaykumar, Leela Samson, Poovaiyar, Manobala, Besant Ravi, Mohan Vaithiya, Lakshmi Pradeep, Rekha Suresh, Semmalar, and Kavitha, among others. The film is directed by Prashanth’s father and actor, Thiagarajan, and is produced by Shanthi Thiagarajan. Santhosh Narayanan has composed the music for the film. Ravi Yadav handled the cinematography, and Sathish Suriya edited it.
