Alia Bhatt gave a sweet shock to her fans on October 4th with her new film’s release date announcement. The talented actress is all set to enthrall her fans with Jigra, the action drama scheduled to be released in theaters on October 11, 2024. Currently she is being a part of Jigra’s promotions, and before the film could arrive in theaters, she revealed that her next film, Alpha, will compete with James Cameron’s highly anticipated Avatar: Fire and Ash.
While Avatar: Fire and Ash, the third part of the most loved Avatar franchise, is all set to be released on December 19, 2025. Alpha is scheduled to be released on December 25, 2025. As of now, no other films are scheduled for Christmas 2024 other than these two. The interesting thing is, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, which also stars Alia Bhatt alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, was initially scheduled for Christmas 2025, but it was later pushed to March 2026.
Directed by Shiv Rawali, Alpha is currently in its pre-production stage. The film stars Alia Bhatt and Shavari in action avatars, and it is also being reported that both the starlets have undergone intense training for the part. Anil Kapoor will appear as the mentor to both actresses in the film, and it will be shot across vast locations worldwide. Alpha is a part of YRF Spy Universe, which consists of big films like Tiger Series, Pathaan, and War.
