Allu Sirish’s ‘Buddy’: Betting on Pricing and Positive Word of Mouth

Despite being part of a reputed family and the brother of star hero Icon Star Allu Arjun, Allu Sirish has faced a tough time during his film career as an actor. He struggled to make a significant impact despite being known for his roles in “Gouravam,” “Kotha Janta,” and “Okka Kshanam.” His previous film, “Oorvasivo Raakshasivo,” breathed some air into his career as it turned out to be one of the decent films of 2022.

After a couple of years, Allu Sirish is coming up with his next film, “Buddy,” directed by Sam Anton. The film was sidelined for a while, and despite several announced release dates, it was postponed multiple times. However, it is finally expected to hit the screens on August 2nd. “Buddy” has been carrying low buzz, but Allu Sirish is confident that this will change once the film is released.

Moreover, the makers have already planned special shows two weeks ahead of the release and are pleased with the response. In a bold move, they have set reasonable ticket prices, with single-screen tickets costing just 99 rupees and multiplex tickets at 112 rupees. Will this pricing strategy help draw audiences to theaters, or will the word of mouth play a crucial part? Only time will tell.
