Aay, a small movie released during Independence Day, has turned out to be a surprise hit at the box office. The trade circles had good expectations from Raviteja’s Mr. Bachchan and Ram Pothineni’s Double Ismart. However, both films became massive failures at the box office, much to the dismay of exhibitors. But Aay surprised everyone with its good performance.
The film was released on August 16th, but the makers arranged paid premieres from August 15th evening, which helped the film get positive talk. Aay was the main choice for the audience during the weekend, as the other Telugu movies did not receive positive responses. The film already achieved breakeven within four days of its theatrical release, and for six days, the film crossed 6 crore share and 7 crore gross at the worldwide box office.
Directed by Anji K. Maniputhra, Aay stars Narne Nithiin, Nayan Sarika, Rajkumar Kasireddy, and Ankith Koyya in the lead roles. The entertainment, music, and emotional aspect of the film at the climax made Aay an enjoyable experience. Produced by Bunny Vas, Vidya Koppineedu, and Riya Chowdhary, Aay’s music was composed by Ram Miriyala and Ajay Arasada.
