It’s a well-established fact that Telugu audiences have a strong affinity for films, regardless of language barriers. This is evident from the immense popularity of Mollywood hits like Premalu and Manjummel Boys. This trend extends to the world of OTT platforms, where Telugu-dubbed films are eagerly awaited and widely consumed.
Nevertheless, there was a sense of disappointment when Fahadh Faasil’s successful movie Aavesham did not have a Telugu-dubbed edition released on Amazon Prime Video. Numerous netizens on social media had anticipated the pleasure of watching the film in Telugu, but the producers made the decision not to, resulting in disappointment among Telugu movie lovers. Despite this setback, there is a glimmer of hope that a Telugu-dubbed version might be accessible on OTT platforms in the future, although no official confirmation has been given as of now. It is important to mention that Aavesham debuted exclusively in Malayalam on Amazon Prime Video, which restricted its availability. The film features Hipzster, Roshan Shanavas, Mithun Jai Shankar, Sajin Gopu, and Mansoor Ali Khan, with music composed by Sushin Shyam.
As said above, recent successful Malayalam films such as Premalu and Manjummel Boys were immensely loved by Telugu movie lovers. After their superb theatrical run, both the movies mentioned above have also enjoyed the same success on OTT release. Premalu’s Telugu Version created records on Aha Video, and Manjummel Boys, which was released on OTT just a week ago, is already being raved for its technical excellence and immersive experience. Let’s hope that the makers of Aavesham will make the Telugu version available on OTT soon.
