Bollywood’s renowned filmmaker Aanand L Rai has recently delivered an OTT hit with Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba (Netflix). In a new media interaction, Aanand spoke about the much awaited third part of Tanu Weds Manu which starred Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan in the lead roles. He said that he is working on it, but the scripting will take some time.
In a recent interview, Aanand L Rai talked about the fans’ excitement about the third part of Tanu Weds Manu. Aanand claimed that everything depends on how the story works out. He also added that it is a big responsibility for him to write a much broader setup for the most loved characters and while he is working on it, the film will go on to the floors only when he cracks the perfect script.
Tanu Weds Manu (2011) tells the story of an NRI Doctor who arrives in India searching for a bride. He falls in love with Manu, a fun-loving girl, and is already in love with another man. The film ends with Tanu and Manu getting married. The second part, Tanu Weds Manu (2015) shows the couple having many issues, and Manu ends up in London asylum because of Tanu. After some interesting proceedings, Manu gets back to India and meets Kusum, who is a lookalike of Tanu and develops feelings for her. Jimmy Shergill, Swara Bhasker, Deepak Dobriyal, Ejaz Khan, Rajendra Gupta, KK Raina and others appear in supporting roles in the film.
