Aamir Khan talks about Laal Singh Chaddha’s failure

Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, which was released in August 2022, became a colossal failure at the box office. The Advait Chandan directorial was expected to be a blockbuster and bring back the success streak for Bollywood but sadly it couldn’t be. After the film’s disappointment, Aamir said about it in some interviews and recently on The Chakraborty’s Chapter 2 podcast, he once again spoke about the film’s failure and took the responsibility for the debacle of Laal Singh Chaddha.

Aamir Khan told her it him very hard when his film failed. He was shaken emotionally as he and his team put their heart and soul into the film. He also mentioned his successful films before and mentioned the failure of Thugs of Hindustan (2018) as well. Aamir said he discussed his opinion with director Vijay Krishna Acharya and producer Aditya Chopra that he did not like the film. However, they were confident about the film, but finally, it failed at the box office. Interestingly, Aamir took the responsibility for the failure of Laal Singh Chaddha. He revealed that the original film, Forrest Gump (1994) which starred Tom Hanks, was successful because of the performance of the actor. He claimed that despite the film’s writing not being the mainstream, it’s worked because of Tom Hanks’s action.
