Aadujeevitham creates history at the Box Office. Blessy, the director who won a National Award, saw a massive success with his recent Malayalam film Aadujeevitham, also known as The Goat Life in other languages, as it had a successful opening week. Starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film managed to gross ₹100 crore globally within just nine days of its release. Day by day, the film is crossing a new milestone at the box office.
This survival drama is Prithviraj Sukumaran’s first 100 Cr grosser. It is also the Malayalam industry’s sixth film overall and the third one in 2024. 2018 Movie, the previous highest grosser of Mollywood, has reached the 100 Cr Mark in 11 days, while Manjummel Boys, the new highest grosser, has achieved the feat in 12 days. Aadujeevitham’s domestic gross stands at 56 Cr, while the overseas number is 44 Cr.
Aadujeevitham features a cast that includes Amala Paul, KR Gokul, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Talib al Balushi, and RikAby. The movie is an adaptation of a novel written by Benyamin with the same title. Both the film and the novel narrate the real-life tale of Najeeb, a man from Kerala who moves to the Gulf in the 1990s for a brighter future. Unfortunately, he is coerced into becoming a goatherd against his wishes, fueling his desire to escape and return home.
