Vikram, who is actively promoting his film Thangalaan, recently had the opportunity to meet Kannada actor and director Rishab Shetty. He stated that throughout my journey to becoming an actor, Vikram has consistently been his source of inspiration. After 24 long years of anticipation, meeting his idol today makes him feel incredibly fortunate. Rishab thanked Vikram for being an inspiration to actors like himself, and he conveyed best wishes for Thangalaan tagging Vikram on X. In addition, Rishab Shetty is anticipated to be a strong contender at the forthcoming 70th National Film Awards, which are scheduled to be announced in August. He has both starred in and directed the successful Kannada film Kantara, which not only achieved remarkable box office success but also garnered significant acclaim for Rishab’s performance.

Vikram is set to star in the highly anticipated film Thangalaan, which is scheduled for release on August 15. Directed by Pa Ranjith, the film features a talented cast, including Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathy, and Hari Krishnan, among others. Studio Green, Neelam Productions, and Jio Cinema produce Thangalaan. This period action drama narrates the story of a group of tribal individuals hired by the British government to search for gold in the Kolar Gold Fields, only to find themselves under the influence of a malevolent sorceress. Thangalaan is one of the most eagerly awaited films in Tamil cinema, with music composed by GV Prakash.
