Roughly a month ago, two individuals attacked Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra by firing gunshots. Recently, another incident occurred at the actor’s Panvel farmhouse, with Navi Mumbai police revealing that it was another attempt by the same group who had planned to attack the actor while he was en route to his farmhouse. Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, believed to be the perpetrator of the gunshots, is reportedly linked to this case as well. Since the incident during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain in Rajasthan back in 1998, where the Blackbuck case occurred, this criminal has been closely monitoring Salman Khan. The actor has allegedly been receiving threats from him for a considerable period of time.
The police have declared the Navi Mumbai operation unsuccessful. Approximately 16-17 individuals were implicated in conducting a reconnaissance at Panvel in February of this year. Deputy Commissioner of Police Vivek Pansare announced that four individuals have been apprehended in connection with the case. The accused had been planning to target the actor for a significant period of time and had resided in Panvel to carry out surveillance activities. Vivek further stated that Bishnoi has multiple independent groups, and it is suspected that one group was conducting surveillance in Panvel while another was in Mumbai. According to the FIR, Nitin Thakre, the Senior Inspector of Panvel, received information that the gang members of Bishnoi were present in Panvel for surveillance purposes. The individuals arrested by the Navi Mumbai Police have been identified as Dhananjay Tapesingh alias Ajay Kashyap, Gaurav Bhatia alias Nahvi, Vapsi Khan alias Waseem Chikna, and Rizwan Khan.
Authorities reported that Ajay Kashayp had also contacted Dogar, a resident of Pakistan, to acquire AK-47s for the planned assault. The police disclosed that the accused was intending to hide after the incident and regroup in Kanyakumari, before traveling to Sri Lanka. An officer stated that the four suspects in custody are being interrogated to ascertain connections to the Bandra incident. The Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested six individuals about the Bandra case.
