After the underwhelming performance of Agent, Akhil Akkineni has been in a phase of transformation, meticulously working on his script selections and focusing on refining his look. The young actor has maintained a low profile for over a year, staying away from media interactions and keeping his plans under wraps. Fans, who have been eagerly waiting for an update, feel that the time has come for Akhil to announce his next project and re-enter the cinematic space with renewed vigor.
Initially, Akhil was expected to collaborate with debut director Anil Kumar, an associate of Saaho, for a project bankrolled by UV Creations. However, the latest buzz suggests that Akhil has given the nod to another intriguing subject. This new project is likely to roll out before Anil Kumar’s film, signaling Akhil’s strategic shift in approach as he carefully crafts his comeback.
The new film will be helmed by Murali Kishore Abburu, known for his work on Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha. Set against the backdrop of Rayalaseema, this commercial mass entertainer promises to showcase Akhil in a different light. The project, reportedly titled Lenin, is being produced by Akhil’s father Nagarjuna and elder brother Naga Chaitanya under Annapurna Studios and Manam Enterprise. Script development is currently underway, and fans can look forward to an official announcement soon.
